ANHE Practice Work Group

Owner: Admin

Community members: 16

Current Chairs: Sandy Worthington and Kathi Salley-Randall and Karen Bowman from the HCWH Nurses Work Group

Staff: Katie Huffling

The focus of the Practice Workgroup is to integrate environmental health principles into nursing practice across all practice areas. This will include developing practice tool kits that can be used by the working nurse to begin developing green programs in their work environments. This group will work to incorporate EH guidelines into the Joint Commission (TJC) requirements and to integrate EH guidelines into the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (AACN) Magnet and New Pathways criteria. In addition, a white paper will be developed that will focus on the IOM competencies related to Nursing & Practice; what has been done to date, where work needs to be done and mapping an action plan for ANHE to fill gaps.

Agenda for Next Work Group Call and Meeting Minutes

The Workgroup meets the second Tuesday of the month from 1pm - 2pm (Eastern). For more information about the ANHE Practice Workgroup please contact Katie Huffling (khuff002@son.umaryland.edu, 410-706-1778).
